Preface 

I long to see American return to its roots, where our culture is aligned with God's standards.  Business, when aligned with God's ways, has the power to restore what is broken, to create flourishing enterprises, to set a foundation for future generations, and to impact our culture.

I am growing in my understanding of God’s calling on my life and my interpretation of His heart and Scripture.  I hope this book challenges you to seek God for the truths He has for your situation and to be more intentional with the He has given you.

Historically, revival starts in the home between man and God. As that fire builds at home, it can catch and spread through your family’s many relationships in the community and the world.

For many, investments are among the largest earthly assets you possess. Through your investments, you are touching people, groups, and markets both nationally and globally. Investments are tools to accumulate wealth, which can provide for personal needs, support the church, and assist those in need.

What if you saw investing not only as sowing into your future but also storing up treasure in heaven? The revival fire that starts at home can also catch and grow through your investments, impacting our culture and all God’s people.

My prayer is that this book inspires you to align your faith with your investments.

About the Author

Benjamin Deist began his career in the financial industry in 2001, earning his securities licenses just months before the events of September 11th. At the time, he was serving as a branch manager with TCF National Bank and TCF Investments & Insurance in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area of Minnesota—an experience that shaped both his professional foundation and his perspective on stewardship during uncertain times.

Over the past 23+ years, Benjamin has built a career grounded in experience, integrity, and service. Today, he serves as an independent financial advisor through LPL Financial and leads his own firm, Compounding Faith Financial, where he helps individuals and families align their financial decisions with their values, purpose, and long-term calling.

Faith is central to Benjamin’s life and work. He is actively involved in his local church and Trail Life USA®, and he is deeply committed to integrating biblical principles into investment and financial planning conversations. His approach goes beyond performance—it is rooted in stewardship, responsibility, and intentional living.

Benjamin married his wife, Nancy, the week of 9/11 in 2001. In 2014, God called the Deist family to move to the Houston area, where they currently reside in Richmond, Texas. Together, Benjamin and Nancy love serving in their church, exploring the great outdoors, and raising their two sons, Josiah and DJ, into the men God has called them to be.

The Deist family is in a season of intentionally walking out their calling—helping equip brothers and sisters in Christ to thoughtfully align their investments and financial plans with what God has called them to pursue.

Benjamin considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients through seasons of transition, moments of uncertainty, and seasons of growth. He finds great joy in celebrating successes, supporting families, and encouraging others to move forward with hope, clarity, and confidence through every chapter of life.
